Wegovy 1.5mg tablets are the starting dose of the oral semaglutide pill, prescribed for adults with obesity, or overweight adults who have a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or type 2 diabetes. It is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for long-term weight management. Wegovy tablets were approved by the UAE's Emirates Drug Establishment in June 2026, making the UAE one of the first markets outside the US to offer the oral form of Wegovy.
